About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Polaris Community. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of our residential care service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Registered Manager in supervising and monitoring the care delivered to young people, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise and develop Key/Support Workers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring they meet the individual needs of young people.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the team, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Ensure the highest standards of care and safety are maintained, adhering to health and safety protocols and regulations.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for young people.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in residential childcare.
  • Hold a Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent.
  • Proven leadership and staff supervision skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets and staff rotas.
  • Project management skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
