We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Area Camden. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of our residential care service.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Registered Manager in supervising and monitoring the care delivered to young people, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise and develop Key/Support Workers, ensuring they receive regular supervision and training.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring they meet the individual needs of young people.
- Provide high-quality personal care and attention to young people, following individual care plans and promoting their social and emotional wellbeing.
- Ensure the service is delivered in a non-judgmental and anti-discriminatory manner, challenging oppression and promoting positive behavior.
- Support the Registered Manager in managing budgets, staff rotas, and project management.
- Contribute to inspections and audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Residential childcare experience (2+ years)
- Hold Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent
- Child Protection experience
- Leadership and staff supervision skills
- Well-developed written and verbal communication
- Management of budgets and staff rotas
- Project management skills
