About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Polaris Community. As a key member of our management team, you will play a vital role in supporting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Registered Manager in supervising and monitoring the care delivered to young people, ensuring that all legal and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Supervise and develop Key/Support Workers, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring that they are tailored to the individual needs of each young person.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure that all aspects of the home are running smoothly, including staffing, training, and communication with the team and external agencies.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years' experience in residential childcare.
  • Hold a Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent.
  • Proven leadership and staff supervision skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets and staff rotas.
  • Project management skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
