Mechanical Works Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Works Supervisor to join our team at Streamline Search. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of mechanical construction projects across the UK.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and monitor the work of your team and subcontractors to ensure that all mechanical construction activities are carried out on schedule and in accordance with our company's health, safety, and quality (HSEQ) requirements.
- Report any unsafe acts, near misses, or relevant health and safety matters and ensure that these are promptly followed up and closed out.
- Deliver toolbox talks to your team and subcontractors on mechanical construction activities and ensure that they are aware of the technical specifications and methodology aspects of the work.
- Liaise with our project engineers on all matters, including health and safety, technical issues, specification, and progress updates.
- Implement our company's quality assurance procedures and ensure that all work is carried out to the highest standards.
- Liaise with clients and main contractors as required to ensure that their needs are met and that the project is delivered on time and within budget.
- Assist with workload management, set priorities, and resolve conflicts within the team.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and customers.
- Experience in the water industry and construction site environments.
- Recognised practical qualifications (HND/Degree/Apprenticeship) and certificates (IOSH, CSCS Card, DOMS/National Water Hygiene etc).
- Experience working with materials such as mild steel, stainless steel, and ductile iron pipework.
- A thorough understanding of all relevant health and safety regulations and risk assessments.
- Ability to travel throughout Scotland and occasionally other parts of the UK.
- Possession of relevant and suitable hand tools.
- Experience in mechanical plant repair, maintenance, and refurbishment, site surveys, problem-solving, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with pumps and drive motor removal and installations.
