About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Works Supervisor to join our team at Streamline Search Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation and maintenance of mechanical plants across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Management: Monitor and supervise your team and any subcontractors to ensure that all mechanical construction activities are carried out on schedule and in accordance with Company's HSEQ and Technical requirements.
  • Health and Safety: Report any unsafe acts, near misses or relevant H&S matters and ensure that these are promptly followed up and closed out.
  • Training and Development: Deliver toolbox talks relating to mechanical construction activities carried out by your team or subcontractors.
  • Project Coordination: Liaise with the Project Engineer on all matters including H&S, Technical issues, Specification, and progress updates, as and when required.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement the Company Quality Assurance Procedures.
  • Client Liaison: Liaise with the client and/or main contractor where necessary.
  • Team Management: Assist with workloads, set priorities, and resolve conflict.
  • Client Relations: Build & maintain solid trusting client & customer relations.
Requirements
  • Experience: Experience in the Water Industry and Construction Site Environments.
  • Qualifications: Recognised practical qualifications (HND/Degree/Apprenticeship) and certificates (IOSH, CSCS Card, DOMS/National Water Hygiene etc).
  • Technical Knowledge: Experience working with materials such as mild steel, stainless steel and ductile iron pipework.
  • Health and Safety: A thorough understanding of all relevant H&S regulations and risk assessments.
  • Travel: Be available for travel throughout Scotland and occasionally other parts of the UK.
  • Tools and Equipment: Possession of relevant and suitable hand tools.
  • Technical Skills: Experience in mechanical plant repair, maintenance & refurbishment, site surveys, problem solving & troubleshooting.
  • Specialized Knowledge: Be familiar with pumps and drive motor removal & installations.
