Position: Full-Time Behavioural Support Specialist
Location: Liverpool
Salary: £85-£100 Daily

Key Responsibilities: As a Behavioural Support Specialist, your role will include:

  • Providing full-time support to children who have faced trauma, offering them the understanding and care they require.
  • Employing effective techniques to de-escalate situations, ensuring a peaceful and secure environment.
  • Building strong, trusting relationships with students to help them feel safe and supported.
  • Setting positive examples for students, promoting a culture of respect and resilience.
  • Collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop tailored support plans for each child.
  • Monitoring and documenting student progress, adjusting strategies as needed to facilitate their development.
  • Guiding children compassionately, assisting them in understanding and coping with the effects of trauma.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience working with children who have experienced trauma, ideally in an educational or therapeutic context.
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care and behaviour management practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Patience, empathy, and a sincere commitment to supporting and guiding children.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, social work, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with children with special educational needs (SEN) or a strong interest in working with SEN children is highly advantageous.

All quoted pay rates will include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role in the future.
