About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team at Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our acute therapy team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality occupational therapy services to patients on our mental health wards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive mental health treatment and assessment to adults with complex needs, using highly developed clinical reasoning skills and appropriate assessment tools.
  • Deliver interventions and treatment plans to patients, while maintaining overall responsibility for their mental health care.
  • Collaborate with other members of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure effective working relationships and high-quality care.
  • Assess carers and families' needs and signpost or refer them to relevant support services.
  • Protect patients from abuse, neglect, and harm, and enable them to develop independent living skills to facilitate discharge to their residence of choice.
Requirements
  • Currently registered as an Occupational Therapist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Ability to mentor students and provide clinical supervision.
  • Evidence of specialized continued professional training in clinical practice.
  • Relevant experience of working with adults with complex needs or adults with mental health needs, and skills that are transferable.
  • Experience of working with people with cognitive impairment, substance misuse issues, and forensic history.
