About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team as a Safeguarding Specialist. As a key member of our safeguarding team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of adults at risk in Lincolnshire.

Main Responsibilities

As a Safeguarding Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and coordinating safeguarding enquiries and investigations, working closely with other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for adults at risk.
  • Assessing and managing risk, developing and implementing plans to promote the wellbeing and safety of adults at risk.
  • Providing expert advice and guidance to colleagues and partners on safeguarding best practice and procedures.
  • Working closely with our Safeguarding Principal Practitioners to ensure that safeguarding duties are carried out in accordance with the Care Act 2014 and Lincolnshire's multi-agency and internal safeguarding policies and procedures.

Person Specification

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A professional qualification in Occupational Therapy and maintained professional registration with the relevant professional body.
  • Post-qualifying practice experience in adult safeguarding, including S42 enquiries, Multi-Agency Safeguarding Panels (MSP), and the Care Act 2014.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, partners, and adults at risk.
  • A secure and sound understanding of adult safeguarding principles and practices, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
