We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Practitioner to join our team at United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality mammography services as part of the NHS Breast Screening Programme and Symptomatic Service.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a high-quality mammography service under the supervision of a qualified Mammographer.
- Work within a prescribed protocol as laid down by departmental protocol and Scope of Practice.
- Assist Radiologists, Radiographers, and other staff in the multi-disciplinary breast imaging team.
- Be flexible in approach to service provision, working cross-site and adapting to last-minute rota changes.
- Foundation Degree in Breast Imaging (FdSc) or equivalent training, including the M2, M8, and M11 occupational standards.
- Experience of working within a breast screening unit.
- Basic IT skills and ability to demonstrate literacy and numeracy skills.
- Understanding of the role of the Assistant Practitioner in breast imaging and adherence to boundaries of practice and professional conduct.
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team and collect, record, and organize information systematically.
