Breast Imaging Assistant Practitioner

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Practitioner in Breast Imaging to join our team at United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate will possess a Foundation Degree in Breast Imaging (FdSc), Certificate of Higher Education in Mammography or equivalent training.
The post holder will be responsible for providing a high-quality mammography service as part of the NHSBSP (National Health Service Breast Screening Programme) and Symptomatic Service under the supervision of a qualified Mammographer.
Main Responsibilities
- Work within a prescribed protocol as laid down by departmental protocol and Scope of Practice.
- Provide assistance to Radiologists, Radiographers, and other staff in the multi-disciplinary breast imaging team.
- Travel to all screening locations as directed and where appropriate, transport equipment and relevant screening materials.
Requirements
- Essential: Foundation Degree in Breast Imaging (FdSc) or equivalent training, experience of working within a breast screening unit, basic IT skills, and ability to demonstrate literacy and numeracy skills.
- Desirable: SCoR Accreditation, previous use of IT systems such as CRIS and NBSS, and a basic understanding of common conditions relating to breast screening.
