We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dementia Adviser to join our team at Alzheimer's Society. As a Dementia Adviser, you will play a vital role in providing support, information, and guidance to people with dementia and their carers, helping them to maintain their independence and improve their sense of well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Support people affected by dementia, families, and carers to access vital services and resources.
- Improve people's sense of well-being by enabling them to have more control over their lives and making informed decisions.
- Assist with the identification of needs, providing information and access to relevant services and support.
- Promote our Dementia Advice service and build relationships with health and social care professionals to ensure seamless support for our clients.
We are looking for someone with a passion for supporting people with dementia and their carers. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt your approach to meet the needs of a diverse range of people. Experience of working with people with dementia and their carers is desirable, but not essential. You will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality support and services.
You will also have good IT skills, with experience of working with databases and virtual meeting software. The ability to travel across the local area independently is essential.
