Executive Support Specialist

An exceptional opportunity has emerged within the Member and Management Support division for a highly driven and skilled Executive Support Specialist, tasked with assisting the Directors and Cabinet Members of Derbyshire County Council.
Your role will involve providing proactive and efficient assistance while ensuring the seamless day-to-day management and organization of the senior leaders' activities and business operations.
This position is ideal for an individual who is dynamic, innovative, and possesses prior experience in a comparable capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for senior leaders, filtering issues and providing effective support and problem resolution Manage the electronic calendar efficiently Process and assess incoming correspondence; initiate responses as necessary and highlight issues for further examination to aid decision-making, ensuring all necessary actions are identified and completed to meet deadlines Delegate tasks daily to a small team of administrative assistantsThis list is not exhaustive; please refer to our comprehensive job profile for further details.
Required Skills and Experience:
Be enthusiastic, adaptable, and self-driven with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team Ability to perform under pressure while managing multiple tasks simultaneously and demonstrating political awareness Education at HNC level or a business-related Level 3 qualification or equivalent relevant experience Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong attention to detail Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Office 365, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPointBenefits Offered:
