We are excited to announce a remarkable opportunity within the Member and Management Support team for a highly driven and skilled Executive Support Specialist, dedicated to assisting the Directors and Cabinet Members of Derbyshire County Council.

In this role, you will deliver proactive and efficient assistance, ensuring the smooth day-to-day management and organization of the activities and business affairs of the council's senior leaders.

This position is ideal for an individual who is dynamic, innovative, and possesses prior experience in a similar capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary point of contact for senior leaders, effectively filtering issues and providing support and solutions. Manage the electronic calendar efficiently. Review and assess incoming correspondence; initiate responses as necessary and highlight critical issues for further examination to aid decision-making, ensuring all necessary actions are identified and addressed to meet deadlines. Delegate tasks on a daily basis to a small team of administrative assistants.

Required Skills and Experience:

Must be enthusiastic, adaptable, and self-driven with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. Ability to perform under pressure while managing multiple tasks simultaneously and demonstrating political awareness. Educational qualifications at HNC level or a business-related Level 3 qualification, or equivalent relevant experience. Strong interpersonal skills with a keen attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Office 365, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
