Executive Support Specialist

We are excited to announce a vacancy within the Member and Management Support team for a highly driven and skilled Executive Support Specialist, tasked with assisting the Directors and Cabinet Members of Derbyshire County Council.
Your role will involve providing proactive and effective assistance while managing the daily operations and organization of the activities and responsibilities of the council's senior leaders.
This position is ideal for an individual who is dynamic, innovative, and possesses prior experience in a similar capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for senior leaders, filtering issues and providing effective support and problem resolution. Manage the electronic calendar efficiently. Review and assess incoming correspondence; initiate responses as necessary and highlight issues for further investigation to aid decision-making, ensuring that any outstanding actions are identified and addressed to meet deadlines. Distribute daily tasks to a small team of administrative staff.This list is not exhaustive; please refer to our comprehensive job profile for further details.
Required Skills and Experience:
Be enthusiastic, adaptable, and self-driven with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while being politically aware. Educational qualifications at HNC level or a business-related Level 3 qualification, or equivalent relevant experience. Strong interpersonal skills with a keen attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Office 365, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.What We Offer:
