About the Role

Active Communities Network is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Regional Network Lead initiative. This exciting opportunity will enable you to work with a diverse range of community groups, providing specialist mentoring and capacity building services to support their growth and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community groups, ensuring they receive the support they need to thrive.
  • Work closely with group leaders to develop tailored organizational development action plans and leadership development strategies.
  • Organize network events to expand the network and connect groups, fostering a sense of community and collaboration.
  • Manage multiple stakeholder relationships, adapting to meet the needs of each group and partner.
  • Collaborate with the wider UK team and organizational partners to ensure groups receive the best possible support.
  • Stay up-to-date with local landscape changes, adjusting support strategies as needed to ensure groups remain resilient and effective.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working in the Voluntary and Community Sector at a senior/leadership level, with a proven track record of leading by example.
  • Strong connections within the region, with the ability to broker and connect groups across multiple disciplines.
  • Previous experience delivering capacity building work, including mentoring organizational leaders.
  • A track record of sustaining and building the strengths of local groups.
  • Experience working strategically with funders, statutory bodies, commissioners, and decision makers to drive positive change for the Voluntary and Community Sector.
  • Demonstrated experience measuring, monitoring, evaluating, and communicating impact at a community level.
  • Managed a caseload of Voluntary and Community Sector groups with diverse needs, experiences, and development.
