Position Overview

As a Healthcare Claims Coordinator at Health and Care Management Ltd, you will play a vital role in guiding our members through their healthcare claims process. Your expertise will ensure that they receive optimal support, advice, and treatment in accordance with their healthcare plan benefits.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary duties will include:

  • Assessing the reasons behind health issues or injuries and identifying any contributing factors.
  • Facilitating the multidisciplinary assessment process by providing comprehensive and precise information regarding personal and occupational risk factors.
  • Advising members on the complexities associated with their health conditions and empowering them to manage their recovery.
  • Adhering to managed care pathways and established clinical guidelines.
  • Evaluating both private and NHS treatment options for referrals to specialists.
  • Identifying suitable treatment providers that align with the stipulations of their health insurance plan.
  • Staying informed about the latest updates and modifications to the plans offered by our corporate clients.
  • Collaborating with our onsite Functional Health team to ensure a seamless service experience.
  • Managing claims from initiation to resolution, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and maintaining accurate records in our CRM system.
Essential Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a strong comfort level with IT systems.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A proactive and analytical approach to problem-solving.
  • Effective workload management to meet service delivery expectations.
  • Experience in an insurance or claims setting, particularly in healthcare.
  • A solid understanding of clinical and non-clinical pathways.
  • Capability to conduct assessments via telephone.
Preferred Qualifications

Desirable attributes include:

  • A clinical qualification in fields such as Sports Therapy, Physiotherapy, Nutrition, or Counselling.
  • Familiarity with GDPR, DPA, and ICO regulations, particularly regarding customer data protection.
