Job Description

Church Street Medical is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Health Care Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a Health Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist qualified nurses in providing direct patient care, including vital signs, wound care, and other clinical tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, adhering to strict data protection protocols.
  • Participate in nursing audits and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to a positive and respectful work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration among healthcare professionals.
Requirements:
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills, with proficiency in electronic patient records and other healthcare software.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in primary care or a similar healthcare setting.
  • NVQ level 2 or equivalent qualification in healthcare.
  • Phlebotomy certification or equivalent experience.
