The Health and Wellness Consultant will play a crucial role in supporting our Corporate Clients with health and wellbeing assessments, health surveillance, and delivering workshops on health topics to empower employees to lead a healthier happier life.
This is an exciting and varied role that involves some travel to client sites, requiring a full driving license.
The successful candidate will work closely with our Case Management team, who will conduct initial assessments of people referred with ill health or injury seeking support and treatment.
The key responsibilities include:
- Assess and advise on how best to get individuals back to full health, considering clinical, personal, and occupational risk factors.
- Develop and implement plans of action, with scheduled follow-ups, to support individuals in taking personal responsibility for their health.
- Communicate effectively with employees to identify multifactorial issues associated with their current episode of ill health/injury and provide guidance on how to address risk factors within their locus of control.
- Deliver Functional Health services on-site, which may involve extensive travel and/or overnight stays in hotels.
- Collaborate with the Case Management team to achieve critical success factors, including reduction in sickness absence, reduction in modified duties, and minimization of costs associated with third-party suppliers.
We are looking for a candidate with a degree/experience in the following areas:
- Sport and Exercise Science or similar fields, such as sports coaching, sports and fitness.
- Sports Therapist.
- Personal Trainer.
- Strength and Conditioning coach or qualification.
- Health and fitness coach.
- Wellbeing practitioner, specializing in exercise, sleep, nutrition.
The ideal candidate will also have strong experience using MS Office suite and other IT systems and tools, be a confident communicator with a professional and empathetic telephone manner, and be knowledgeable about clinical and non-clinical care pathways.
