We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Mental Health Nurse Leader to join our team at NHS Lanarkshire.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and deliver care to a defined caseload of clients/patients, ensuring a high standard of quality care.
- Delegated responsibility for the appraisal, management, and clinical supervision of Registered Nurses, junior practitioners, and clinical support workers.
- Work in partnership with other disciplines and agencies to ensure effective care delivery.
- Lead the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the team to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Registered Mental Health Nurse with valid NMC Registration.
- Educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level.
- Postgraduate expertise within the speciality/area of practice.
- Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality/area of practice.
- Leadership skills to enable the day-to-day management of service delivery.
- Excellent team-working/leadership skills and ability to motivate others.
- Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Effective time management skills.
- Working knowledge of basic information technology.
- Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development in area of speciality.
- Experience of providing supervision to mental health staff.
- Experience of working in a community mental health service.
- Experience of working within multi-disciplinary teams and across agencies.
- Knowledge and experience of public protection legislation and application.
- A minimum of 27 days annual leave increasing with length of service.
- A minimum of 8 days of public holidays.
- Membership of NHS Pension Scheme, with life insurance benefits.
