Senior Advanced Practitioner

The Role
This position will oversee the management and leadership of the mental health advanced nurse practitioner team. The post holder will be responsible for supervising, deploying, and developing staff to ensure efficient management and development of the ANP initiative.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and implement systems to coordinate, monitor, assess, and prioritize workload, ensuring effective contingency planning and meeting patient interests.
- Be responsible for the effective use of physical, human, and financial resources, including duty rotas, annual leave allocation, monitoring and reviewing sickness/absence, grievance/disciplinary matters, nurse bank, and recruitment and retention of staff.
- Liaise with the multi-professional team to facilitate good communication, provide a patient-focused service, implement staff development, and promote the ANP role.
- Lead effective multidisciplinary teamwork and foster healthy working relationships through consistent and visible support.
- Ensure complaints are investigated timeously and subsequent action plans are developed and implemented, making staff aware of patient concerns and/or identified trends.
- Implement redesign initiatives and lead and drive service development and the ANP model of care.
- Support, coach, and develop new multidisciplinary team members to ensure the provision of safe and effective healthcare within the service.
- Undertake health and safety responsibilities identified within the Safety, Health, and Environment manual, assisting with implementing policy and monitoring compliance.
