About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our team at Compass Group UK & Ireland Ltd. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for driving strategic sourcing initiatives that deliver value to our clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans that align with our company's overall business objectives.
  • Manage a portfolio of tenders and contracts, ensuring that they are optimized to meet our clients' needs and deliver cost savings.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including category managers, buyers, and suppliers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of market trends and insights, and apply this knowledge to inform our procurement strategies.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring that our clients' needs are met while minimizing disruptions.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our procurement team.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve our procurement processes.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Sourcing Manager who possesses a strong background in procurement and supply chain management. You will have a proven track record of delivering strategic sourcing initiatives that drive value and cost savings.

  • Proven experience in strategic sourcing and procurement, with a strong understanding of category management principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of market trends and insights.
