About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Sourcing Procurement Specialist to join our team at Compass Group UK & Ireland Ltd. As a key member of our procurement function, you will play a critical role in driving value and excellence in our sourcing activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute strategies to secure value for our clients through category management and spend analysis.
  • Category Management: Work closely with category development, CBM, and supply chain teams to ensure sourcing excellence and clearly demonstrable value delivery.
  • Supplier Negotiation: Utilize your strong negotiation skills to secure the best possible deals with suppliers.
  • Procurement Process: Follow the Foodbuy Procurement Process (FPF) to ensure compliance with internal governance and external audits.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to identify future opportunities for value creation.
  • Market Intelligence: Identify market trends and insights around best-in-class procurement and apply learnings to our approach, processes, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Procurement Experience: Proven experience in procurement, with a strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain management.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial acumen and decision-making skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Category Management: Experience in category management, with a focus on reducing costs and improving supplier relationships.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to present complex information to stakeholders.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced computer skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
