Strategic Sourcing Manager

Foodbuy Group, a leading food procurement organisation in the UK, is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to join their team in Chertsey. As a critical enabler of the company's success, this role will be responsible for sourcing outcomes that support the Foodbuy 3 Year strategy, reduce supply chain risk, and deliver value for all clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take responsibility for all sourcing outcomes on projects within your remit, ensuring they align with the company's strategic priorities.
  • Build great relationships with clients, stakeholders, and the internal team to identify future opportunities for value creation.
  • Team management, development, and coaching to ensure buyers are performing to their optimum ability.
  • Horizon scanning, reviewing upcoming projects, contract expirations, and market movements to ensure a strategic approach.
  • Commodity and business management risk - document and demonstrate risk management strategies in line with your supply base.
  • Support Foodbuy's wider sustainable sourcing challenges and ensure contracting compliance.
Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of end-to-end supply chain within a retailer, foodservice, or FMCG organisation.
  • Strong decision maker with good commercial acumen who is comfortable working under pressure.
  • Strong work ethic with ability to manage multiple projects and meet challenging deadlines.
  • Experience managing/mentoring a buyer(s) and ability to increase performance.
