IT Procurement Manager – Leading Healthcare Consultancy

This prestigious healthcare consultancy is on the lookout for an IT Procurement Manager to enhance their procurement team, focusing on the IT category, which represents their most significant expenditure. With a track record of remarkable growth, this top-tier procurement division seeks a seasoned procurement expert with public sector experience to seamlessly integrate into the role and oversee the IT category along with a team of procurement professionals.

In this position, you will take charge of all aspects of IT expenditure, with key responsibilities including:

  • Strategic Procurement Leadership: Oversee comprehensive IT procurement operations, from needs assessment to contract negotiations, ensuring the acquisition of superior technology solutions while maximizing cost-effectiveness.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and sustain robust partnerships with key IT vendors, negotiating favorable contracts and ensuring outstanding service delivery.
  • Cost Optimization: Identify and execute cost-reduction strategies, manage procurement budgets, and drive ongoing process enhancements.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Risk Mitigation: Ensure all IT procurement initiatives adhere to public sector regulations and industry standards, effectively managing associated risks.

Essential qualifications include:

  • Demonstrated experience in managing comprehensive IT procurement processes: Proven expertise in overseeing the full IT procurement lifecycle, with a history of successfully managing large-scale IT procurement initiatives, ensuring cost-effectiveness and high-quality service delivery.
  • Experience in team leadership: Proven capability to mentor and guide a team of procurement specialists, with experience in building and leading high-performing teams in a collaborative, results-oriented environment.
  • Public sector expertise: In-depth understanding of public sector procurement regulations, policies, and procedures, with a proven ability to navigate the complexities of public sector procurement processes to deliver value to stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking: Ability to formulate and implement strategic procurement plans that foster value and innovation.
