About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our team at Goldman Sachs. As a key member of our Corporate Planning & Management Division, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and improving operational efficiency through effective category management and procurement strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement multi-year global strategies for indirect spend categories, particularly in technology infrastructure sourcing.
  • Support the creation and execution of procurement strategies and key initiatives, collaborating with business and functional leadership to understand short, medium, and long-term third-party requirements.
  • Identify and implement best practices in procurement, commercial, and vendor management, ensuring compliance with the Firmwide Third Party Risk and Control Framework.
  • Manage relationships and escalations with strategic vendors, ensuring appropriate contract structures, pricing models, and service level agreements.
  • Partner with internal and external legal counsel to ensure proper forms of agreement are utilized and contractor conformance with terms and conditions.
  • Manage compliance with and provide reporting on the firm's commitments in relation to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practice within and across global Strategic Sourcing teams.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Post-Graduation degree, with relevant professional qualifications.
  • Minimum five years' experience in Strategic Sourcing and Category Management, particularly in indirect spend with a preference in technology infrastructure sourcing.
  • Strong technical, strategic, and project management skills, with a solid foundation in supply chain management, sourcing, and procurement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with senior professionals across the firm.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in negotiating complex, high-profile contracts, including incentivized service level agreements.
  • Excellent client management skills and experience in leading projects involving a range of stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of being a team player, collaborating with others within and across teams.
  • Strong executive-level communication and presentation skills, with impeccable attention to detail and excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
