Position Overview

Company Overview: Randstad UK is seeking a skilled Sourcing Lead with a background in the Public Sector to enhance our dynamic procurement team within a prestigious healthcare organization.

Role Summary: In this role, you will function as a Sourcing Lead within the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquire or exhibit a willingness to understand the product categories assigned and how end-users interact with the products/services.
  • Demonstrate or show an eagerness to learn detailed aspects of the categories.
  • Utilize market intelligence effectively.
  • Analyze future product developments and their potential market impact.
  • Supplier Insight: Cultivate and apply knowledge about suppliers to formulate strategies, create leverage, mitigate risks, and anticipate market trends and supplier movements.
  • Engage in discussions regarding future product developments with suppliers.
  • Evaluate current or upcoming technologies.
  • Research new supplier entrants in the market.
  • Exhibit a comprehensive understanding and responsibility for the sourcing process for the assigned portfolio, including market analysis, bid preparation, Request for Information (RFI), strategy formulation and validation, Supplier Qualification (SQ), Request for Proposal (RFP)/Invitation to Tender (ITT), contract negotiations, and contract initiation.
  • Execute end-to-end sourcing initiatives in accordance with the organization's sourcing protocols.
  • Present category strategies and final decisions to internal stakeholders for review and discussion, prior to validation by members.
  • Supplier and Customer Relationship Management: Participate in supplier performance reviews and assess new products/technologies/services as they emerge in assigned categories.
  • Identify essential customer relationships to foster the growth of the assigned portfolio.
  • Recognize and support any developmental needs of individuals.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven procurement experience with a successful track record of meeting targets.
  • Experience in both public and private sectors.
  • Expertise in Strategic Sourcing and Category Management.
  • Experience in ICT and healthcare procurement is advantageous.
  • Proficient negotiator.
  • Experience in supplier relationship management and project management.
  • Proficient user of e-Procurement systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with EU Directives.
  • Understanding of Group Purchasing Organizations.
  • Membership or pursuit of membership in the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, adhering to the CIPS Code of Ethics.

Compensation and Benefits: Competitive salary around £55,000 based on experience, hybrid working model, cycle scheme, private healthcare, gym membership options, technology support for home office, private GP consultations, 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, with the option to purchase up to 10 additional days, and dedicated personal time (2 hours per month).
