About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Child Wellbeing Practitioner in the Mental Health Support Team. This is a training position that will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge in child and adolescent mental health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with children, young people, and their parents/carers to support self-management and develop plans for specific interventions and agreed outcomes.
  • Manage own caseload and gain the necessary skills to practice a range of interventions, including guided self-help.
  • Prepare and present caseload information to supervisors.
  • Work with colleagues to provide better access to specialist mental health services and support referrals where required.
  • Support colleagues in community and schools to identify and manage issues related to mental health and wellbeing.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in Psychology or a related subject, or any subject with further training or experience in a relevant field.
  • Relevant professional experience in CYP Mental Health/Education/Mentorship.
  • Ability to study at degree level.
  • Proven record of previous academic attainment.
  • Successfully secured a training place on the CWP course at KCL (CYP MH Child Wellbeing Practice PG Dip).
