To offer Goal-Based Interventions (GBIs) to a diverse population of Young People with moderate to severe mental health concerns.

To offer psychological assessments to Young People referred to a core CAMHS service. This will involve gathering information formulating, and developing care plans alongside the wider MDT.

To be able to participate in complex case formulations

To be part of the clinical team to take on a role as a case worker with YP in crisis/ with complex history, to respond as soon as possible to contain and engage young people with consistent presence and involvement with the case.

Will need to be able to work independently, with intense remote supervision from the case manager.

Help identify early signs of relapse by monitoring the user’s progress, level of functioning and mental state and alert the appropriate staff involve in the individual’s care

Having a caseload of 10-12 GBI Cases at any one time.

To supervise band 5 (Qualified) CWP’s with cases in core CAMHS. Involved in managing the ROMS and engage in Audit /QI project in the team. Managing Waiting List and relevant Sub Team clinical data management.

To provide advice, guidance and consultation to other professionals contributing directly to the child or young person’s formulation and diagnosis and recommendations.

Discuss and agree assessment outcomes with Child/Young person, carers and other health care professionals, promoting health education and self-management.

Provide information to Child/Young people and their carers concerning the diagnosis, interventions, and other services and refer as appropriate.

Be able to demonstrate an evidence of good clinical judgement & autonomous practice.

Provide advice in keeping with NICE guidance, and local guidelines around support options and aged appropriate care to optimise support. Contribute to parent educational courses. Contribute to transition planning with the adult services.

Use “Think Family” holistic assessment principles to provide support and education to families, voluntary sectors and the wider community

Provide specialist training as identified to parents and young people promoting self-management within the family environment.

**Hillingdon CAMHS consists of five main sub-teams**: Emotional Disorders Team; Neurodevelopmental Team; Enhanced Treatment Team; Learning Disabilities (LD-CAMHS), and; Multi-Agency Psychology Service (MAPS; for children looked after and children in need). The post holder may be required to travel to other parts of the catchment area including working within the community (e.g. schools) and / or wider network outside trust where necessary, The service operates Monday to Friday 09.00 to 17:00 with some flexibility to work extended hours to meet service need.

Provide specialist training as identified to parents and young people promoting self-management within the family environment.

Attend multi agency meetings where appropriate to participate in the assessment, development and delivery of support plans to meet the needs of children and young people with complex needs or vulnerability.

Liaise closely with other services in order to provide a co-ordinated and seamless service for Child/Young people and support the ongoing development of care pathways for these conditions.

To be able to work to a high professional standard and support children and families in sometimes challenging or emotional circumstances
