Specialist CAMHS Practitioneropen to Systemic Family Therapists, Clinical or Counselling Psychologists, Child Psychotherapists, Mental Health Nurses, Art Therapists, Occupational Therapists.

Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services in Tower Hamlets are seeking clinicians to work in our socially and culturally diverse borough. We want the very best services for our children and young people. That’s why we are looking for someone like you

Theses posts are based in one of our multidisciplinary Emotional and Behavioural Teams. We aim to deliver timely and comprehensive assessment and treatment service, offering goal-based episodes of care to children and young people and families. Alongside individual case work there are a range of groups such as DBT, NVR parenting and Behaviour Management for parents of children with Neurodevelopmental Difficulties. There are opportunities to have consultations from colleagues to support casework (such as Trauma, Psychotherapy consultations). We also have well established People Participation groups for parents and young people. The service embraces continual improvement and the staff and management team have a high degree of enthusiasm for quality improvement.

These are community-based posts located within the Emotional & Behavioural Team (EB1) of Tower Hamlets CAMHS (THCAMHS). The post holder will join a supportive, friendly and vibrant service and contribute to the positive working environment of the multi-disciplinary team. As well as weekly CPD meetings, there are a range of consultations slots to support clinical practice (such as working with trauma or neurodiversity, using DBT) and opportunities for the practitioner to grow and develop their skills.

The post holder will offer assessment and flexible, evidence-based episodes of care and interventions to children/young people and families for a wide variety of clinical presentations.

The post holder will require a high degree of professional autonomy and self-management, and will be required to account for their professional practice through appraisal and audit.

ELFT has a strong ethos of Quality Improvement and we are keen to continually develop our service.

Tower Hamlets CAMHS is a busy, innovative and vibrant service with good relationship with our partner agencies in Social Care, Education and 3rdsector. Our main clinic is in Whitechapel, with a second clinic in Limehouse, both of which have excellent transport links. ELFT is rated ‘outstanding’ by CQC with first-class personal and professional development opportunities

Clinicians work in a hybrid model of direct face to face and remote working as appropriate. We are looking for: good communicators with energy, motivation and enthusiasm; the ability to work with individuals and families with complex difficulties and to work effectively with multi-disciplinary and multi-agency contexts; flexibility of approach; commitment to evidence-based practice; and the pursuit of the highest possible quality of service.
