About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Clinical Manager to lead our Mental Health Outreach Team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing and developing a small multidisciplinary team to provide timely and effective responses for people with co-occurring conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide management and leadership to the core team, including supervision, appraisals, performance management, and recruitment.
  • Develop relationships across statutory and voluntary agencies to support those with co-occurring needs across the city.
  • Support the development of pathways and joint working protocols, including an increase in joint assessments and work by mental health and substance misuse services.
  • Work closely with the Access Leadership Team to ensure the effective delivery of services.

Person Specification
  • Relevant professional qualification, such as a Mental Health Nurse with appropriate registration with NMC.
  • Management or leadership qualification and/or training/experience.
  • Experience in the effective and positive management of complex and high-risk cases.
  • Significant post-qualification Practitioner experience.
  • Experience of and commitment to working within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience as a supervisor, including a clear understanding of managing patient flow.
  • Working knowledge of Risk Assessment and management tools currently in use within acute mental health settings.
