Facilities Operations Manager needed for a prominent organization in the hospitality industry. This full-time, permanent role offers a competitive salary along with an annual bonus, enhanced pension plan, and an exceptional employee benefits package.

Ideal Candidate: The position is best suited for a qualified tradesperson holding NVQ Level 2 in plumbing and/or NVQ Level 3 Award in Electrical Installations. Candidates should demonstrate 3-5 years of relevant experience acquired in a commercial setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the ongoing management and maintenance of all operational aspects, ensuring the facility operates at the highest standards.
  • Possess hands-on expertise in all site and facility plant operations, including boilers, air conditioning systems, and heating, ensuring plumbing and electrical systems function safely and consistently.
  • Conduct planned preventative maintenance by adhering to daily, weekly, and monthly schedules, addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Perform routine inspections and system checks, providing regular updates to the Operations Director and staff, and coordinating with engineers for remedial breakdowns and repairs.
  • Manage subcontractor relationships, including obtaining quotes, reviewing contractor terms, and ensuring service level agreements are met.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations by checking fire alarm systems, water sprinklers, exits, fire doors, security access systems, and all entry points.

Safety and Compliance: A strong understanding of gas safety regulations, fire and evacuation procedures, health and safety standards, and COSHH is essential. Previous experience in hotels and hospitality is highly valued.

Communication Skills: The Facilities Operations Manager must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to generate reports and share information across the organization.
