Position Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Facilities Operations Manager to oversee the maintenance of our state-of-the-art facilities. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact, ensuring our school remains a safe, welcoming, and inspiring environment for both students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilities Management: Oversee the daily operations and upkeep of the school, ensuring that all buildings and grounds are maintained to the highest standards.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Act as the primary contact for health and safety, conducting regular inspections and risk assessments to ensure compliance with all regulations.
  • Team Leadership: Inspire and manage a committed team of cleaning and maintenance personnel, as well as contractors, to achieve operational excellence.
  • Budget Oversight: Develop and manage budgets for maintenance, repairs, and enhancements, ensuring efficiency and value for money.
  • Project Leadership: Lead refurbishment projects from inception to completion, enhancing the school environment.
  • Security Management: Implement and monitor effective security protocols to safeguard the campus.
  • Community Relations: Foster strong relationships with staff, students, parents, and external partners, addressing any facilities-related issues with professionalism.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in facilities management, preferably within an educational context.
  • Strong leadership and organizational capabilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of health and safety legislation.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as necessary.
  • Relevant qualifications in facilities management or a related field.
