Job Summary:

A senior clinical position is available for an experienced Family and Systemic Psychotherapist to lead our CAMHS team at the Royal Free Hospital. The role involves providing specialized systemic assessment, treatment, and psycho-education for children and young people with Neurodevelopmental Disorders and their families. The successful candidate will also offer supervision to junior therapists and contribute to service management and development.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Family Support Package and Family Therapy Reflecting Team Clinic
  • Manage individual caseload of families
  • Provide supervision and support to junior therapists
  • Contribute to service management and development

The CAMHS team at Royal Free Hospital includes Psychiatry, Psychology, Psychotherapy, and Systemic & Family Therapy. The team is known for its supportive and friendly environment, with opportunities for professional development and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical expertise and therapeutic interventions for patients with neurodevelopmental conditions
  • Offer systemic consultation to colleagues and wider network
  • Represent Family Therapy in the Senior Leadership Team
  • Supervise and support the development of fellow systemic colleagues
  • Lead the provision, development, and monitoring of Family Therapy Clinic and Parent Support Package
  • Conduct training on systemic principles for effective patient treatment

Person Specification:

  • Demonstrable ability to meet the Trust Values
  • Relevant core profession within Health and Social Care and education profession
  • Post-graduate training in Systemic and Family Psychotherapy
  • Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience
  • Experience with neurodevelopmental specialist systemic assessment and treatment
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
  • Knowledge of legislation and NHS policies
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
