Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Family Systems Psychotherapist to deliver a comprehensive and specialized therapeutic service for families impacted by enduring mental health challenges. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the provision of high-quality clinical care. The successful candidate will oversee and guide the systemic assessments and therapeutic interventions carried out by other professionals within the family therapy team, ensuring adherence to professional standards and governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver systemic psychotherapy to adults facing complex and persistent mental health issues, working autonomously within a specialized team.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop tailored intervention plans based on evidence-based practices.
  • Provide expert consultations to clinical staff, contributing to the formulation and implementation of treatment strategies for families.
  • Engage in systemic supervision in accordance with professional registration guidelines, ensuring ongoing professional development.
  • Participate actively in the evolution of a responsive and accessible family therapy pathway within the adult psychology and psychological therapy service.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Master's degree in Family/Systemic Psychotherapy, accredited by the UKCP.
  • Substantial experience in delivering evidence-based psychological interventions within adult mental health services.
  • Experience working collaboratively in multidisciplinary and multi-agency environments.
  • Desirable: Training in supervision leading to approved clinical supervisor status and experience in teaching Systemic Psychotherapy.
