Family and Systemic Psychotherapist

We are seeking an experienced Family and Systemic Psychotherapist to join our multi-disciplinary team in Harrow CAMHS. As a key member of our team, you will provide specialist family therapy services to children and young people with mental health problems across all sectors of care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide family assessments of children and young people referred to the team, utilizing complex data from various sources.
- Formulate and implement care plans for the treatment and/or management of the child/young person's problems, based on an appropriate conceptual framework and evidence-based methods.
- Implement a range of family therapy interventions for individuals, carers, families, and groups, within and across teams, grounded in systemic and family therapy principles.
- Evaluate and make decisions about treatment options, considering theoretical and therapeutic models, as well as complex factors concerning historical and developmental processes.
- Exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the assessment, treatment, and discharge of children and young people whose problems are managed by psychologically based standard care plans.
- Undertake risk assessment and risk management.

Person Specification- Post-graduate family therapy training to MSc level or equivalent.
- UKCP registration as a family therapist.
- Experience of working with complex cases.
- Family and parenting work, with a strong understanding of the need for and experience of undertaking family and parenting work as part of CAMHS support.
- Mental Health emergency CAMHS assessment.
