Job Overview

As part of our ongoing expansion, CML is seeking a dedicated Logistics Coordinator to become an integral member of our dynamic team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Working Schedule: 4 on 4 off, 6am-6pm.

Compensation: £29,843 annually, with an additional £1,000 attendance bonus.

In the role of Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for the planning, booking, and management of all logistics operations related to deliveries and collections. Your primary objective will be to ensure timely and complete execution of all logistics activities through effective planning and resource allocation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing an efficient combined inbound and outbound logistics plan.
  • Ensuring plans are cost-effective, focusing on fleet utilization.
  • Completing daily key performance indicators (KPIs) and adhering to targets set by the Logistics Planning Manager.
  • Monitoring planning and collection request communications and managing any related inquiries.
  • Coordinating customer returns and depot pickups.
  • Booking additional subcontractors and providing accurate information.
  • Supporting the Collections Team as necessary.
  • Collaborating closely with Transport, Warehouse, and Customer Service teams to achieve shared objectives.
  • Resource planning to optimize operations.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in logistics planning within a radial and direct delivery environment, including inter-depot trunking or cross-docking.
  • Familiarity with transport management systems is preferred.
  • A collaborative team player capable of fostering internal and external relationships.
  • Experience in a cost and KPI-driven operational setting.
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure while prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Strong geographical knowledge.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly advanced Microsoft Excel.
