Position Overview: We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Analyst specializing in Operations to support a top-tier retail organization. This role is essential for providing financial guidance and ensuring operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Collaboration:

  • Engage with senior management, including the Head of Operations and Property, to deliver insightful financial analysis that aids in strategic decision-making.

2. Management Accounting:

  • Assist in the management accounting processes for various operations, focusing on areas such as Shrinkage, Repairs & Maintenance, and Variable Costs. Conduct comprehensive month-end reviews.

3. Balance Sheet Oversight:

  • Take responsibility for balance sheet reconciliations, analyzing risks and opportunities, and performing monthly assessments with the Finance Director.

4. Financial Planning:

  • Support the Operations team in financial forecasting, budgeting, and planning, ensuring that targets are achieved and variances are thoroughly analyzed.

5. External Collaboration:

  • Act as the primary liaison for external property management firms, analyzing job/store-level data related to Repairs & Maintenance and utilities.

6. Support for Store Management:

  • Provide prompt and accurate responses to Profit & Loss inquiries from store management.

7. Cross-Departmental Cooperation:

  • Collaborate with VAT and Fixed Asset teams to address queries and facilitate smooth operations within the Finance department.

Candidate Profile:

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or nearing qualification.

Experience:

  • Extensive finance experience, particularly in month-end accounting and business collaboration.
  • Experience in the retail sector, especially in multi-site operations.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace and Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Effective problem-solving capabilities.
  • Team-oriented with a proactive and enthusiastic approach.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
