Role Purpose:

● Provide comprehensive support to the Commercial Finance Team.

● Assist the Senior Finance Manager with various projects.

● Serve as a reliable business partner primarily for the Technology division, offering valuable decision-making support and insights.

● Deliver financial leadership on key business initiatives, ensuring clarity on progress towards financial objectives.

● Oversee the annual budgeting and re-forecasting processes for the Technology sector.

● Continuously assess the financial implications of risks and opportunities.

● Conduct thorough monthly expenditure analyses and present clear summaries to senior stakeholders.

● Provide financial guidance on a range of ad hoc inquiries.

● Collaborate with Financial Accounts to ensure accurate month-end processes.

● Drive the business change agenda, consistently seeking process improvements.

● Work closely with HR to enhance visibility of overall resource levels and provide detailed reporting to senior management.

● Conduct ad-hoc analyses and support business partnering across all cost areas.

Role Responsibilities:

● Act as a trusted business partner for the Technology division, delivering financial analysis and proactive support.

● Assist the Senior Finance Manager with various projects.

● Enhance reporting, processes, and system utilization.

● Manage reporting for these areas, including:

o Monthly overhead analyses, challenging existing practices and identifying performance improvement opportunities.

o Reviewing team structures and vacancies, approving new hires while ensuring budget compliance.

o Ensuring accurate cost reporting at month-end.

● Prepare the annual budget and re-forecasts, collaborating with team managers to understand resource needs and overhead plans.

● Provide financial leadership on significant business projects, ensuring adherence to financial governance and preparing comprehensive business cases.

● Deliver quality ad-hoc and regular analyses to inform management decisions.

● Collaborate with HR on headcount reporting, ensuring accurate representation to senior management.

● Proactively propose new ideas to challenge current processes and assumptions.

● Build strong relationships within the finance team and across the organization.

● Drive and implement the business change agenda, promoting simplification and agile practices.

Key Skills and Experience:

● Proficient in advanced Excel and system skills; experience with BPC (SAP Business Planning and Consolidation) is advantageous but not mandatory.
