About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Operations Analyst to join our team. As a Senior Financial Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data, identifying and resolving discrepancies, and providing support for month-end close activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Sales audit team to investigate and resolve issues related to sales data and cash/credit card settlements.
- Escalate and coordinate investigations with internal and external partners.
- Perform regular reviews and checks to ensure the completeness of data loaded in the reconciliation system.
- Track and monitor key performance indicators for areas of responsibility, including ageing, auto-match rate, and variances.
- Report regularly to the Manager regarding potential write-offs and partner with other team members to resolve aged differences.
- Provide support for month-end close activities, including journal entries, balance sheet accounts reconciliations, and analytical reviews.
- Prepare accruals for credit card fees for all EU stores and partner with FP&A to investigate unexpected movements and variances.
- Act as a subject matter expert for accounting-related matters and be the first point of contact for internal partners.
- Assess the accounting implications of new projects, enhancements, or redesigns of processes and validate accounting set-up before implementation.
- Coordinate the collection of documents and responses for external and internal auditors.
- Identify and drive process improvements and opportunities for automation and enhancements.
Requirements:
- Strong finance and accounting background.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Part-qualified, newly qualified, or experienced candidates will be considered.
