Vitae Financial Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Operations Analyst to join our team. As a Senior Financial Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data for our global retailer client.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Partner with the Sales audit team to investigate and resolve discrepancies in sales data and cash/credit card settlements.
  2. Perform regular reviews and checks to ensure the completeness of data loaded in the reconciliation system.
  3. Track and report on key performance indicators for areas of responsibility, including ageing, auto-match rate, and variances.
  4. Provide support for month-end close activities, including journal entries, balance sheet accounts reconciliations, and analytical reviews.
  5. Prepare accruals for credit card fees for all EU stores and collaborate with FP&A to investigate unexpected movements and variances.
  6. Act as a subject matter expert for accounting-related matters and serve as the first point of contact for internal partners.
  7. Assess the accounting implications of new projects, enhancements, or process redesigns and validate accounting set-up before implementation.
  8. Coordinate the collection of documents and responses for external and internal auditors.
  9. Identify best practices for store operations and partner with store managers to drive changes and implementation across the EU.

Requirements:

  • Strong finance and accounting background with a strong proficiency level in Microsoft Excel.
  • Part-qualified, newly qualified, or experienced candidates with demonstrable experience will be considered.
