About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Activity Therapist to join our team at Electus Healthcare's Olderfleet Unit. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dynamic and forward-thinking organization that is dedicated to providing exceptional care to individuals with complex dementia needs.

As an Activity Therapist, you will play a vital role in creating a stimulating and engaging environment for our residents. You will be responsible for developing and implementing activity programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver activity programs that promote cognitive stimulation, physical activity, and social interaction
  • Build positive relationships with residents, their families, and the care team
  • Collaborate with the care team to ensure that activity programs are aligned with individual care plans
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activity programs and make recommendations for improvement

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a care home setting, preferably with individuals with dementia
  • Strong knowledge of activity therapy principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
