Position Overview

Peaple Talent is collaborating with a prominent retail and e-commerce entity seeking to appoint a Cloud Infrastructure Lead on a permanent basis. This role is pivotal in steering the Cloud and Infrastructure division while facilitating the digital evolution and expansion of the organization. The successful candidate will provide technological expertise and strategic direction to align with the company's technology vision.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee a team of cloud, infrastructure, and security professionals, emphasizing coaching and mentorship. Develop personalized growth plans for team members, assisting them in achieving their professional aspirations.

Support the organization's strategic objectives by ensuring that the infrastructure and services deployed are appropriate and effective. Manage obsolescence and mitigate security risks.

Engage in close collaboration with peers and various cross-functional teams within the technology sector and other business areas. Effective stakeholder management and communication skills are essential for interacting with both senior and non-technical personnel.

Conduct budget planning and management, including regular forecasting and performance evaluations.

Core Tasks

  • Manage relationships with suppliers, contractors, and consultants.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify their requirements; propose solutions and offer user support.
  • Establish and prioritize maintenance, design, development, and analysis of a Cloud/hybrid infrastructure, focusing on service quality, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Provide third-line support and expert guidance.
  • Engage hands-on with infrastructure, software, and systems.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the following technical areas:
    • Enterprise hardware and networking solutions.
    • Enterprise software, including Hyper-V and VMware.
    • Backup technologies such as Veeam.
    • Security solutions.
    • WAN and firewall management.
    • Microsoft Azure and M365.
  • Willingness to travel and work outside of standard hours as needed.
  • Flexibility to perform tasks beyond the outlined job description.
