About the Role

RWE AG is seeking a highly skilled Global Category Manager to join our team. As a key member of our procurement organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a global category strategy for IT/OT infrastructure and cloud services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive global category strategy for IT/OT infrastructure and cloud services, including managed workplace, printing, networks, telecommunications, mobile, data centers, and cloud services.
  • Lead and manage a team of category managers and procurement specialists to achieve business objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including business leaders, finance, and IT, to ensure alignment and effective procurement processes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and partners to drive innovation and cost savings.
  • Manage complex procurement processes, including RFPs, RFQs, and contract negotiations.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to business leaders on procurement-related matters.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, supply chain management, or engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on IT/OT infrastructure and cloud services.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful procurement strategies.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to travel to various locations, including RWE AG's offices and supplier sites.
