Position Overview

As the Global Category Manager for IT/OT Infrastructure Services, you will be a pivotal member of the IT Services, Infrastructure, and Cloud team. This role presents a unique opportunity to engage with a global team and contribute to transformative projects across RWE's diverse operations, including Renewable Energy and Energy Trading.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: In this senior role, you will concentrate on Infrastructure and Cloud domains, encompassing Managed Workplace, Printing, Networks, Telecoms, Mobile, Data Centres, and Cloud Services. Your primary responsibility will be to formulate and oversee the global Category Strategy for these sectors, serving as the subject matter expert to guide category managers and business units.
  • Procurement Process Optimization: You will adeptly manage procurement processes to achieve optimal results, including leading strategic RFx activities and driving automation initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Building and maintaining a robust network of suppliers and internal stakeholders will be crucial. Your expertise will enable you to effectively address IT/OT requirements, enhancing overall business outcomes.

Candidate Profile

  • University degree with extensive professional experience.
  • Proficient in procurement strategy and financial management principles.
  • In-depth knowledge of the IT/OT supply market and relevant categories.
  • Strong negotiation skills across various organizational levels.
  • Creative, detail-oriented, and open to innovative ideas.
  • Willingness to travel to operational sites and engage with key suppliers.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in German is advantageous but not mandatory.
