Position Overview

An excellent opportunity has emerged within the Neurorehabilitation unit of the Doncaster Care Groups for a dedicated and adaptable Administrative Support Specialist to become a vital member of our clinical and administrative team.

The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for patients, staff, and visitors within the ward. Responsibilities will encompass delivering a well-structured administrative and reception service, which includes managing inventory, coordinating with external organizations, maintaining daily bed occupancy records, and documenting important information.

The successful candidate will possess outstanding communication abilities, demonstrate tact and diplomacy in interactions, excel in a fast-paced environment, and work collaboratively within a larger team while also being capable of independent decision-making.

Candidate Profile

Essential Qualifications

  • RSA Stage II typing/word processing or equivalent qualification
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience in office operations, including filing, photocopying, message taking, and typing

Desirable Qualifications

  • Prior experience within the NHS or a large public sector organization is advantageous
  • Familiarity with medical and multidisciplinary records and terminology is beneficial

Educational Requirements

Essential

  • Good standard of education (Grade C or above in English and Maths GCSE or equivalent is preferred)
