ROLE OVERVIEW

The Treasury Operations Specialist is tasked with the daily management of income receipting for a diverse portfolio that includes commercial, industrial, and retail properties.

This position necessitates consistent and direct communication with the accounting team, along with email and phone interactions with property managers and tenants, to guarantee the prompt allocation of income.

You will collaborate closely with the treasury team and the Property Management departments to deliver exceptional service to our clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Establishing and nurturing strong professional relationships with tenants and colleagues across the accounting teams and the broader organization is crucial for your success. Your initiative will be highly valued.

The role involves processing a significant volume of bank receipts on behalf of our clients.

Additionally, you will support the Treasury Manager, ensuring that all tasks are completed punctually and in accordance with internal and client KPIs, thereby providing top-tier service to all Workman clients.

To excel in this position, you will need a keen eye for detail, strong organizational and prioritization skills, effective communication abilities, and a collaborative spirit, along with a desire to learn and grow in your role.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining control spreadsheets
  • Managing central email inboxes
  • Downloading multiple bank statements
  • Daily posting of bank receipts
  • Reconciling tenant accounts
  • Coordinating with property managers regarding bank receipt allocations
  • Resolving tenant and client inquiries
  • Performing banking duties, including internal cash movements and BACS/CHAPS transfers
  • Undertaking any other tasks that facilitate the smooth operation of the accounting department.

Salary Range: £21,000-£25,000

EXPECTATIONS

A proactive, practical, and positive work ethic is essential.

Excellent communication skills are required, with the ability to foster strong working relationships with colleagues in both the accounting teams and the wider organization.

No formal accounting qualifications are necessary for this role; however, the following skills are essential:

  • Maths & English G.C.S.E 9-4/A-C
  • Strong Numeracy Skills
  • Proficiency in IT & Software, particularly Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel
