About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Planning expert to direct our established Planning practice at Environmental Resources Management (ERM). As a Planning Director, you will lead our team in delivering innovative projects in the decarbonisation, renewable energy, and mining sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct the Planning practice through various projects and deliverables, ensuring efficient and sustainable outcomes for our clients.
  • Work within multiple planning regimes, including NSIP/DCO, TCPA, s36 (Scotland), and DNS (Wales), to secure successful outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, leveraging your technical expertise and network to win top opportunities.
  • Contribute to operational performance through personal revenue generation and support in minimizing re-work and write-offs.
  • Take a leadership role in communicating and enabling ERM's health and safety culture.
Requirements
  • A relevant Town Planning degree qualification.
  • Licentiate/RTPI (or equivalent) qualified Planner.
  • Extensive work experience in similar roles.
  • Strong track record of securing successful TCPA and DCO outcomes.
  • Scottish planning and consenting experience.
  • Proven track record in successful business development and growth of sales.
  • Strong team leadership experience.
  • Committed to the career development and mentoring of your practice.
