About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consumer Products Associate to join our team at Mattel. As a key member of our regional promotions team, you will be responsible for managing the Promotions category in line with global and regional brand & category priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Category Lead: Act as the category lead for assigned partners in the region, ensuring alignment with global and regional brand & category priorities.
  • Business Development: Conduct quarterly business reviews and monthly track financial goals, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Research and Analysis: Research, identify, and pitch category/brand opportunities to current and prospective clients, using data to provide insights on promotional strategies.
  • Negotiation and Contract Management: Secure new promotional deals and negotiate renewals, ensuring all relevant approvals have been gathered and all information required is present and correct.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including the legal team and licensee, to ensure seamless contract drafting and implementation.
  • Global Compliance: Work closely with the Global Promotions team to ensure compliance with global guidelines and strategy.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the Product Development, Creative, and Quality & Assurance teams to develop joint business plans and implement marketing and promotional strategies.
  • Category Best Practices: Gather and share category best practices from across the EMEA region with local teams, guiding and supporting them in driving the strategy for the category.
  • Innovation and Growth: Help find innovative ways to grow the business, attending trade fairs or category-specific shows as needed.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in licensing, promotions, or retail background.
  • Education: Degree in Marketing, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • Skills: Personable, enthusiastic, and confident, with excellent organization and communication skills, and a strong attention to detail.
  • Commercial Awareness: Demonstrate awareness of current market trends and an interest in licensing/collaborations.
  • Negotiation and Presentation: Effective negotiation and good presentation skills, with excellent project management skills.
  • Team Player: A team player, flexible, pro-active, and self-motivated with the desire to help drive the business forward.
