Role Overview:
The Regional Marketing Lead will spearhead the marketing initiatives across the EMEA region, driving the formulation of product and marketing strategies tailored to local markets. This role is pivotal in shaping EMEA marketing plans and resources that effectively enhance our market share while ensuring profitability and strengthening our competitive edge.
In collaboration with the team, you will engage closely with Global Brand teams and local marketing units to align Brand/Category action plans with overarching European strategies. Additionally, you will partner with the EMEA Digital Marketing team to develop robust digital media strategies for significant campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Infant-Preschool (IPS) category for the EMEA region, collaborating with Global Brand Teams to define strategic direction and marketing initiatives.
- Establish brand and category objectives for the EMEA region, supporting local teams in their execution while monitoring performance and gathering insights for continuous improvement.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the regional IPS team, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Lead the creation of Product Marketing plans, strategies, and resources for regional execution, while managing the Advertising & Promotion budget.
- Accountable for the Brand/Category Profit & Loss; contribute to financial planning and oversee product selection and pricing strategies.
- Assist in Supply Chain planning as needed.
- Engage with local Brand Marketing Teams to assess brand performance across various countries and support local strategy formulation.
- Enhance communication and information flow between Global Brand Teams, Regional, and Local marketing.
- Manage regional agencies for media planning and other critical projects.
- Build and maintain relationships with key licensors, leading business reviews and delivering forecasts.
Challenges:
- Effectively navigate a matrix organization and lead a virtual regional marketing team.
- Foster collaborative teams and communicate with clarity and impact.
- Manage relationships across Europe and with Global Brand teams, as well as external partners.
- Monitor performance and collaborate with marketing and media teams to adjust strategies as necessary.
- Partner with Planning and Global Brand teams to ensure efficient production and supply processes.
- Quickly grasp broad industry categories and trends to provide valuable insights to Global Brand Teams.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: A degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration (Bachelor/Master/Diploma) or equivalent.
- Professional Experience: Over 5 years of substantial commercial/marketing experience at a similar level within the Toy, FMCG, or licensed consumer goods sectors, with prior team management experience. Experience in the toy industry and across diverse markets is a plus.
