The Regional Creative Manager is responsible for overseeing the Hardlines Category Creative for Licensing and product innovation at Mattel, providing essential support to the Regional Creative Manager.
This role involves collaboration with Regional Business Teams to adapt, customize, and translate global Consumer Products (CP) creative strategies and assets tailored to specific regions and markets. The position works closely with the Global Creative team to identify trends and regional needs, ensuring the provision of necessary creative assets for local programs. Additionally, the role engages with the Regional Business team to propose new business initiatives and drive product development and programs. Key responsibilities include product development, creating visual mock-ups, inspiring collections, and facilitating hardlines creative approvals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver creative strategic guidance and support to priority regional licensees and programs.
- Develop regional category toolkits and inspiration aligned with brand vision and market demands.
- Stay informed on current and emerging consumer and licensing trends, interpreting them in creative work.
- Review and provide feedback on marketing materials for priority regional licensees and programs, including social media content, e-commerce assets, and photoshoots.
- Ensure global asset development aligns with regional requirements through constructive feedback.
- Oversee Creative Product development across designated categories.
- Collaborate with cross-functional creative teams to maintain creative consistency.
- Manage project logistics, tracking, and communication within the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Design or relevant experience, or
- 5-7+ years of relevant experience in Licensing, Product, or Toy design.
- Experience working within a Global Team/Business.
- Familiarity with Brand Approvals processes, including tools like Brand Comply.
- Background in creative design or product development; experience in Hardlines is advantageous.
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Knowledge of online Data Asset Management (DAM) systems.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and brands simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with effective presentation abilities.
- Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Understanding of the Consumer Products industry, including Branding, Design, and Advertising.
